Born of the Norns’ myths, our journey begins. We awaken in Midgard, torn from a dream in which we fall from Asgard. Through the roots and branches of Yggdrasil, our fate unfolds – every deed and every decision shaping the course of the world and inevitably leading to one of two endings: to defy Ragnarök or to bring about the end of all things. Along this path we wield swords, axes, and bows of immense power. Arrows, potions, and supplies determine victory or defeat. Odin’s companions emerge from the shadows, enchanted springs unleash new strength, and mighty bosses put our courage to the ultimate test.
Off the path lie hidden treasures and ancient riddles – secrets that whisper of worlds long forgotten.
Developed exclusively for VR, the game delivers precise hit detection, realistic physics, and the full-bodied presence of creatures. Weapons are not only tools of attack, but can also move objects, deflect strikes, or even block arrows in flight – turning every encounter into an intense, tangible experience. Soar with Huginn, ride Sleipnir, and fight alongside Freki.
Ragnarök – often mistaken for the “Twilight of the Gods.” In truth, it means “the fate of the gods”: not merely an end, but the inevitable course of cosmic destiny, as told in the myths.
Overview & Reference Guide
In the bedroom, next to the bookshelf, there is a terminal where the player’s name can be changed. Select ‘New’ to clear the input, then use your index finger to type the desired characters. After clicking ‘Save,’ the new name will appear in the menu and in the save slot. (Maximum 11 characters)
To change the color of the inventory window, reach into the wardrobe and select the desired color. The chosen color also applies to your fingernails, arrows, and bow.
In various places across Yggdrasil, merchants gladly offer their wares.
Purple potions restore MP, red potions restore HP.
Food is highly valued by our companions and can also be traded. Firewood provides warmth and strength when used – and restores a small amount of HP.
Enhance your arrows at the forge and unlock new variants for your bow.
Saga is always searching for hidden treasures. Assist her in side missions to uncover artifacts – some of which are guarded by challenging riddles.
Discover chests throughout the worlds of Yggdrasil. Open chests contain food and potions, while locked chests hold new weapons or equipment. Be sure to unlock them before continuing your journey. There are three sword and three axe variants – but a fourth sword determines the course of the game.
At the Training Center, new weapons can be tested, and HP regenerates automatically.
Access is granted either when opening a chest or in Midgard’s village at the southern building.
In addition to weapon training, the abilities of companions can also be tried out.
Each level contains World Orbs. They lead to neighboring worlds once we are within reach.
Some paths are blocked by magical barriers. To advance, an element matching the orb’s color is required.
Other World Orbs can only be reached with our companions.
